2023 FIBA 3x3 Spring League Basketball

Rockets Basketball is excited to launch our registration for our Annual Spring League for 2023

OPEN TO ALL PLAYERS FROM ALL CLUBS. These sessions are outside of MBAns.ca's regular season and do not affect your current club status. These are extra sessions for kids that want to play more than just fall/winter. 

Players will receive a reversible practice jersey to keep.

Our coaches are either lead coaches for the Rockets, Varsity Coaches or Local Trainers and former professional players for some divisions.  

All sessions will run for 8 weeks and will consist of skills development and 3x3 games.  

Most all sessions will be for 1.5+ Hrs, some gym slots will be for 2 hours. 

Max 24 Kids in each session  (4 Rims with a 3x3 game = 24 kids playing all at one time, no one on the sidelines)

FIBA 3x3 gameplay offers maximum opportunity for kids to get touches, opportunities and court time. 

We will start sessions after the march break. 

Coaching this year for our groups: 

Chris Johnson, former pro player and the lead trainer at Tunnel Vision Training. 

Leah Girdwood, former pro player (recently in the MWBA) and current Rockets Coach

Tariq and Tajhon Thomas, are both former BNS Provincial Team Players with Tariq currently on the bench for MSVU. Both Rockets U14 lead coaches and Division Coordinators

Jace Colley and Jarvis Bernard, Both former BNS Provincial Team Players with Jace playing for UPEI next season. Both Rockets U16 lead coaches. 

Coach Anthony Brown - Rockets current Jr.NBA Lead and long-time community coach. 

Robin Veinotte, Club President and current Club Skills Trainer at RocketsBasketball.ca for various club teams

Mike Adderson, Rockets U12 Division Coordinator and long-serving community coach.

Spots are limited - please register right away. EMT's or Funding Support that is not received or confirmed in time will result in your spot being put back in the pool. 

We are still confirming our schedules and will update this site when they become available. All girl's sessions are targeted for weeknights to make sure players can play with their spring/summer clubs and also participate in the Daneesha Provo Spring League (Highly Recommended).  We will also coordinate advanced boy's groups so that players can participate in Chris Johnson's Tunnel Vision sessions this spring as well (also Highly Recommended).

U10 Girls - Fun  - With Lead Coach Leah Girdwood, Saturday Mornings 10:00 am to 11:30 am @ East Dartmouth Community Centre

U10 Boys  - Advanced - With Lead Coach Chris Johnson - Thursdays 6-730 East Dartmouth Community Centre (Full)

U10 Boys - Intermediate Group A - EPEC Fridays (Coach Robin Veinotte) (Full) 6-730pm, Group B - Tuesdays 6-730 Graham Creighton Jr High (Spots Open) , Group C - Saturdays (Coach Leah Girdwood) EDCC 11:30 Am to 1pm (FULL)

U10 Boys - Beginner - Wednesday Nights 6pm-7pm - Islandview High School - With Lead Coach Anthony Brown

U12 Girls - Advanced With Coach Leah Girdwood, Monday Nights Portland Estates 6pm-7:30pm

U16 Boys - Advanced (Full) (7:30-9pm)  and Intermediate (6-730pm) - With Coaches Jarvis Bernard and Jace Colley - Tuesday nights at Sir Robert Bordern

Regardless of what club you played with during the Metro Season and Provincials, Rockets Basketball welcomes all players looking for extra reps and experience to join us for Spring Ball.

Not all weeks are back-to-back due to holidays and gym availability. Please read the dates carefully. They will be added to the app and website to make it easy to follow. 

Not all groups have the same start date. U14's and U16's start later (for example)
